BREAKING NEWS: Erap Calls For The Arrest Of 16 Manila Gov't Officials And Cops Involved In Drugs!

Manila Mayor Joseph "Erap" Estrada already called for the immediate arrest of the 16 government officials and policemen who were tagged for their involvement in drugs.

Erap stated that he ordered the Manila Police District (MPD) police director Senior Superintendent Joel Coronel to conduct the operation against the said 16 high-value targets (HVTs).

Coronel reported that the 16 HVTs include some public servants from the Philippine National Police (PNP), the city hall, barangay, and national government offices based in Manila.

"They're both elected and appointed (officials). Some are drug users, coddlers, traffickers, or protectors, including from the PNP," Coronel said.

He even explained that they are monitoring the government officials and as soon as the involvement is verified, an operation would be carried out against them. Coronel added that the names were given by arrested drug suspects and backed up by records from the MPD's Anti-Illegal Drugs Division and Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA).

The MPD already counted 38 drug suspects in Manila who were arrested over the past two weeks while 200 surrendered voluntarily on anti-drug and criminality operations.

"We will support you all the way. We will provide whatever you need, so long as these targets are put behind bars," Estrada said.

The office of the Mayor allotted P20 million worth of brand new firearms for Manila policemen and approved the acquiring of a P45 million-worth allowance of Manila's 4,652-man police force.

Gringo Honasan, Jinggoy Estrada face Ombudsman probe over DAR scam - Must Watch!

Sen. Gregorio “Gringo” Honasan and former Sen. Jose “Jinggoy” Ejercito Estrada face a preliminary investigation by the Ombudsman for their alleged involvement in a P220-million scam in the Department of Agrarian Reform (DAR).
In a statement on Friday, the Office of the Ombudsman said the following face investigation for violation of the antigraft and corrupt practices act and malversation through falsification of public documents: Honasan, Estrada, former Agrarian Reform Secretary Virgilio de los Reyes, former Rep. Arturo Robes of San Jose del Monte, Bulacan, and five officials of the DAR and Department of Budget and Management.
Ombudsman field investigators said that from 2010 to 2011, the DAR allocated P220 million for livelihood and training projects for farmers  in 27 municipalities in the provinces of Isabela, Bataan, Pampanga, Bulacan, Ilocos Norte, Nueva Ecija, Bataan, Quezon, Batangas, and Pangasinan.

Of the P220 million, at least P20 million was released from the 2010 DAR regular fund upon Honasan’s request, and that P100 million was sourced from Honasan’s Priority Development Assistance Fund.
Meanwhile, at least P50 million was released upon Estrada’s request, while another P50 million was released for projects endorsed by Agrarian Reform Undersecretary Jerry Pacturan.
The projects turned out to be nonexistent, resulting in a disallowance by the Commission on Audit, the Ombudsman said.
