P1.2 Billion from Yolanda Funds paid to 36 celebrity endorsers of Mar Roxas and Leni Robredo
An ex-Liberal Party chair in Western Visayas who picked from the party to support Sen. Grace Poe, uncovered that P1.2 Billion of Yolanda funds was paid to no less than 36 celebrity endorsers of presidential bet Mar Roxas.
"Our local politicians who needed funds for their campaign were left behind because the party had prioritized Mar and Leni. The overspending on useless celebrity endorsements is just unacceptable", the solon said.
Fermin refers to Kathryn Bernardo as an example, who allegedly got 20 million - a move that allegedly angered INC that prompted her expulsion from the powerful religious group.
Roxas celebrity endorsers includes mainly from ABS-CBN talents headed by Kris Aquino, Daniel Padilla, Kathryn Bernardo, Karla Abellana and Ruffa Mae Quinto among others.
We had no problem helping Mar. The issue is, he is spending people's money that was intended for Yolanda victims, and we, here in Visayas can't simply endure", the congressman said.

WATCH: PDEA Leader Stopped Arrest Of Drug Syndicates When Roxas Was DILG Secretary
In this video, Former DEA officer Jonathan Morales said his superiors did not want the drug syndicate's members arrested. Based on the United Nations - World Drug Report in 2013, the Philippines has the highest abuse rate for methamphetamine hydrochloride, or shabu, in East Asia.
The UN report was cited by the US Department of State in its 2012 International Drug Control Strategy Report, which is posted on the website of the US Embassy in Manila. The state department also disclosed that 2.1 percent of Filipinos aged 16 to 64 were using shabu, and “domestic consumption of methamphetamine and marijuana continued to be the main drug threats in the Philippines.”
In 2012, the Dangerous Drugs Board (DDB) reported that there were approximately 1.3 million drug user.
More than 8,000 barangays in the country are plagued with the drug menace, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said. Metro Manila has the highest rate of being drug-affected with 92.10 percent of the region’s barangays affected, followed by Region 4A (Southern Tagalog) at 33.78 percent.
Based on its consolidated data gathered from operational reports and other law enforcement agencies, the PDEA said around 20.51 percent or 8,629 villages out of the 42,065 barangays nationwide have drug-related cases.
Curiously, no other DDB study has been made since then.

Pres. Duterte Wants To Investigate BIR For Mar Roxas Financer During The Campaign - Must Read This!
In his sturdy vow to stop corruption in government, President Duterte asked the Bureau of Internal Income (BIR) to verify taxes paid by a businessman who was among the prime campaign financiers of Manuel Roxas.
According to Philstar, President Duterte told the BIR to probe Francis Eric Gutierrez, owner of SR Metals Inc. (SRMI), a nickel mine operator in Agusan del Norte penalized by the government in 2007 for alleged over-mining.
The President has accused Roxas of being a protector of SRMI since the former interior and regional government secretary utilised Gutierrez’s plane during his campaign.
“All businessmen ought to pay taxes. They are many… citing Gutierrez (as an instance). There should be no exemptions. He cannot only destroy Tubay in Agusan del Norte,” Duterte stated in the course of a fellowship dinner on the San Beda College of Law alumni at Malacañang’s Heroes Hall on Sunday.
He said he was focused on eliminating drugs, crime and corruption ahead of digging in on Gutierrez.
He urged businessmen not to fool about with tax payments, saying he would take away tax exemptions of some companies to enhance income collection.

Earlier report, Defeated Presidential candidate Mar Roxas denies that the 5 PNP Generals named by President Rodrigo Duterte that allegedly involved in illegal drugs did not campaigned for him during the campaign period.
“Nakarating po sa aking atensiyon na may ilang online site at traditional media outlet na nagbabansag sa ilang heneral bilang ‘Roxas Generals.’ Kahit wala namang malinaw na batayan, pinalalabas na nangampanya sila para sa akin noong nakaraang eleksiyon,” Roxas said.
“Lilinawin ko po: Walang Roxas Generals. Ang mga pinangalanang heneral ay hindi naging bahagi ng aking kampanya. Kung nakipag-ugnayan man ako sa kanila, ito ay bilang bahagi ng pagtupad ko sa aking tungkulin noong kalihim ako sa DILG (Department of Interior and Local Government),” he added.
However, the Netizens was quick enough to respond about the statement of Mar Roxas that denies any linked with the generals.

Defeated presidential candidate Mar Roxas on Wednesday broke his silence on reports linking him to some of the police generals whom President Rodrigo Duterte accused of coddling drug lords and syndicates.
“It has come to my attention that some online sites and traditional media outlets have branded certain individuals as “Roxas Generals.” Despite lacking any clear basis, the insinuation is that these individuals campaigned for me in the last election,” Roxas said in a statement to the media.
“To be clear: there are no Roxas Generals.”
The former Interior secretary said no general had ever campaigned for him during the May elections. He resigned from the Department of Interior and Local Government (DILG) in August last year.
“The persons named were not part of my campaign. My professional working relationship with some of these individuals started when I took over the helm of DILG, and ended when I tendered my resignation in 2015,” he said.
The generals President Rodrigo Duterte named in his speech were Police Director Joel Pagdilao, Chief Supt. Edgardo Tinio, Chief Supt. Bernardo Diaz, retired Deputy Director General Marcelo Garbo and retired Chief Supt. Vicente Loot.
Diaz and Garbo were among the active police generals seen in closed-door meeting with Roxas’ staff at the Novotel Hotel in Araneta complex in Cubao.
As former DILG secretary overseeing the Philippine National Police, Roxas said he never tolerated illegal drug trade in the police, adding that under his leadership, the PNP was able to seize billions worth of drugs and hundreds were arrested and charged.
“According to media reports, these individuals are allegedly involved in the illegal drug trade. Let me emphasize that I have never supported nor encouraged illegal drugs. It is a plague that afflicts families, rich or poor, and destroys the fabric of family life. During my tenure in the DILG, one of my priorities for the PNP was to escalate the fight against illegal drugs. Billions of pesos worth of illegal drugs were confiscated, and hundreds arrested and charged, in fulfillment of my directives,” he said.
Roxas said charges should be filed against the generals instead of relying to unfounded claims.
“If there is any truth to the allegations that these people have anything to do with the drug trade or those who run it, I believe that the proper course of action is to file charges against them in accordance with due process, instead of engaging in innuendo and circulating rumors,” he said.
Roxas also noted that Loot, who is now the mayor of Daanbantayan, Cebu, campaigned for Duterte before the elections.
“One even ran for mayor and supported President Duterte, not me. One thing is certain: there are still those who attempt to smear my name and reputation, long after the campaign is done,” he said.
He also called on the public to be wary of malicious news articles intended to misinform the people.
“I call on my fellow Filipinos: let us be critical of websites that pretend to report straight news, but in truth only propagate propaganda and misinformation. These sites claim that the persons named are all in the active service, when in truth, two of them are already retired,” he said.
