Duterte also said in his speech that he is in the process of substantiating information about officials or staffs in some agencies, including the BOC.
“I still have to validate it, but I already have the raw information,” The President said on Tuesday, July 5, during the Philippine Air Force anniversary ceremony.
He ordered the newly installed customs chief Nicanor Faeldon and also the new chief Cesar Dulay of Internal Revenue to clear their agencies of corruption.
Duterte also warned the colluding fixers and officials or staffs to stop their unlawful practice of using their positions to stipulate money from applicants for faster processing of their needed documents.
Duterte further warned the BIR that he is keeping an eye on them.
“Kayong mga BIR, stop, because I will make a trail out of you. Lahat ngayon binabantayan,” he said.
Government employees should also be ready for “year-round” lifestyle checks to enable his administration to identify dubious increase in wealth.
