News that China is going to reveal something about Scarborough Shoal to President Duterte is causing outburst among Filipino citizens as the latter is set to fly to China tonight.

 Singaporean international law expert and diplomat Richard Chang told Agence France Press that the previous administration of former President Benigno Aquino III may face serious problem if China will cooperate with the current Duterte administration.

Atty. Chang, chairman of Asian Center for Maritime Understanding (ACSA) said that former President Benigno Aquino III is fully responsible for Chinese occupation of Scarborough Shoal on 2012.

 “The previous administration of Benigno Aquino III did not do the job to protect the Philippines’’ maritime property. Furthermore, the alleged negotiation with China by one of his senators (Antonio Trillanes), was kept from public.

 The Filipino people have all the rights to know the details of such series of negotiations”, Chang said.

Chang said his organization has been following the South China Sea disputes for more than a decade and has published 12 research articles about the issue.
