President Rodrigo Duterte slammed journalist and has dared the media to cover the drug raids to prevent more misinterpretation of the government's war on drugs.
The President even urged Rappler journalist Pia Ranada, one who tabulate misleading reports on alleged extrajudicial killings, to join the anti-drug operations so she can be a first hand witness of the real encounter.
“Mag raid sila, tawagan niyo ang media, sabi ko nga sa kanila wag niyong kalimutang tawagin si Pia (to cover the drug raids) mahilig yan. Ikaw ang unang samahin nila para makita mo yung aksyon,” Rodrigo Duterte told Pia Ranada.
The President is also ready to provide cameras for the journalists who is willing to cover the dangerous drug raids conducted by the police.
