COMELEC To Designate P695 Million For Barangay And SK Elections. Must Watch!



The Commission on Elections (COMELEC) has reserved P695 million for the printing and conveyance of forms and voting stations for the barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan (SK) elections this year.

Suppliers are being welcome to offer for three separate contracts to cover the logistical arrangements for the barangay elections to be directed utilizing the old manual voting and numbering strategy on Oct. 31.
These agreements include the printing and conveyance of envelopes for the voting and tallying materials worth P21.5 million; the printing and conveyance of election forms worth P31.3 million; and the supply and conveyance of ballot boxes worth P642.1 million.

The offer solicitations showed that the agreements likewise incorporate envelopes to be utilized for official ballots, decision returns, minutes of voting and for the polling booth keys; election forms and tallying stations.

Suppliers that are interested are required to pay nonrefundable expenses going from P5,000 to P75,000 with a specific end goal to take part in the offering.

The Comelec will hold a prebid gathering on July 11 at 10 a.m. at the Palacio del Gobernador building, while the pre-offered meetings for the two different contracts are on July 13.

The accommodation of offers for the voting stations contract is set for July 25 at 9 a.m. at the Comelec's offers and grants secretariat office.
The envelopes and election forms contracts due date will on July 27 at 9 a.m. at the same venue.

The barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan polls will come five months after the current year's general election last May.
