The administration of President Rodrigo Duterte will launch its 24-hour hotline next month.
Speaking to INQUIRER editors and reporters, Presidential Communications Secretary Martin Andanar said the government would launch the “8888” hotline to receive the complaints of Filipinos.
During his first official Cabinet meeting hours after his inauguration, Duterte promised to put up a complaint hotline.
Andanar said the government would change the current national emergency telephone number for the Philippines from 117 to 911.
In Davao City, Duterte has established a 911 emergency response center.
